My Niece and Nephew

My oldest brother and sister-in-law have two beautiful children, a boy and a girl.  The girl was born last Wed., January 19 and is really cute.  They already had a son who is almost five and now have a daughter to form a pair.  She looks more like my sister-in-law than my brother; which she was happy about because my nephew is a clone of his father.  Even though they already had a child, this pregnancy brought a lot of newness to the family because my sister-in-law and brother lived far away with the first pregnancy.  My brother also missed out on my nephew though because he was in the military at the time and on a six month departure.  He missed almost the entire pregnancy and did not get to hold my nephew until he was three weeks old when he returned.  I just cannot wait to be able to get out of school so I can go see them.

  1. Ah........there is nothing like a newborn. They have the greatest ability to bring everyone together and create harmony. Where is your brother and his family living at this point i time? Is he still in the military? Your blog is lovely. Now try adding some gadgets to it. How about some photos of the new baby? What is her name? What is the little boy's name? How can you make sure that he still feels as though he is important? He needs to know that he is not going to be pushed aside by the new "play toy." Dr. Ries

  2. My brother is currently out of the military after fulfilling his full four years of duty and is living here by us. As for my nephew, he is really excited to have a new sister. When he went to the hospital, he had on his "Big Brother" shirt. Sadly, though he could not see her until she came home from the hospital because she was in the NICU, where children can only enter if they are above the age of five and have documented proof of having all their shots. Now that she is home though, he loves to try and help out with her with things like feeding.
