hhhmmmm..... things have to change
I made a resolution this semester that I have made every school year for the past few years; to stop procrastinating. When it comes to school work, I am the worst. I put it off until the last possible moment.... literally. There were too many times I was only just finishing work before class started. I really do want to break this bad, lazy habit and actually do my homework today, not tomorrow when it is due and running around to hurry up and finish it. My Achilles heel is that I would rather read one of my books or watch TV than do work. These issues have really risen in the past month as I just ordered new books and my new phone is also an e reader. The temptations keep increasing :/ . Just last night I put off doing homework to watch 5 hours of Music's 100 Most Shocking Moments with the countdown going 20 moments an hour (good show by the way). I just need to try and focus on school more. The things I need to do: questions for physical science, work on my photo story, read a chapter for my other education class, and the website reflections. I will work on them..... in a little bit. Sorry, but I cannot go cold turkey on a habit I have had for a few years XD. Lets see how I handle it all.

I know that you can do it, Lisa. Just remember that you can watch all that other "stuff" any time, but you need to get your work in on time if you want to get high grades and not have a headache all of the time. Just remember that good grades can get you recognition in life, for Lisa. Watching someone else perform on TV or watching a movie or spending time talking to friends on Facebook is not going to get you the grades you want OR the recognition that you want. You are a good student and make the most of your time here as an undergraduate. The better your grades, the better the recognition in the future. Stick to your schedule. Keep me posted. Dr. Ries

ReplyDeleteYou should try shutting your phone off and hiding it in a drawer or something until after you finish all your work. That way if you do your work early you can just relax and not worry about anything until the next assignment is assigned. I know you can do it, you are smart :)
ReplyDeleteCall me weird, but my achilles heel is books. Though my phone can have books on it now so it is a major distraction.
